*Fiberglass Disclaimer*

At Phantom Racing Chassis, we take pride in offering high-quality fiberglass components designed for performance and durability. All fiberglass products are manufactured and prepared by a trusted third-party vendor using professional mold-based production methods. The following disclaimer explains the normal characteristics of fiberglass manufacturing and outlines what is and is not covered under warranty or replacement.

1. Manufacturing Process

Phantom fiberglass components are produced using a reinforced mold process.
Each part begins with a gel coat layer (which provides the color) followed by layers of fiberglass material. Once cured, the finished part is released from the mold.

Because fiberglass molds are used repeatedly, minor cosmetic imperfections can occur over time. These surface blemishes do not affect product performance or structural integrity.

2. Common Surface Characteristics

Due to the nature of fiberglass production, the following conditions are considered normal and not grounds for replacement or discount:

  • Spider cracks: Fine, web-like surface lines caused by stress or release from the mold. These appear on the gel coat surface but are not cracks in the product itself.

  • Scuff marks or surface rubs: Commonly found on the inside edges of seats or large parts due to contact during shipment or the use of plastic wedges during mold release.

  • Rough or splintered backing: The unfinished side of parts may appear coarse or uneven. Our manufacturer applies fiberglass using a chopper gun for efficiency, and smoothing each surface is not feasible without adding unnecessary cost.

These cosmetic blemishes do not affect the strength or usability of the part and therefore do not qualify for refund, replacement, or discount.

3. Intended Use

All Phantom fiberglass products are built for racing applications — not for display or showroom presentation.
Minor imperfections are expected and acceptable within the standards of motorsports-grade components.

4. Covered by Phantom Racing Chassis

Phantom Racing Chassis will replace or exchange fiberglass parts only in cases where:

  • Damage occurred during shipping, and

  • The damage has caused a structural issue that affects the part’s function or safety.

Cosmetic blemishes such as those described above are not covered.
No exceptions will be made for surface-level imperfections or aesthetic concerns.
